Also make sure they both have recreation in the same time block for the same reasons. If they work alongside each other, they will talk throughout the day. If they rarely see their partner, the relationship probably isn't going to last. Load the game and look at the pawn named Pretty2, and you'll see that that pawn does not properly aknowledge the pretty/beautiful trait on any of the other pawns. The easiest way to make sure couples are content is to check their schedules and work assignments. I know normally you wouldn't care, but I thought you might be curious, and maybe you can see something that I don't understand that would make this more easily fixed by Ludeon. For reference, and if you happen to be curious, I have attached the bugged vanilla save. Regardless, you can probably close this, since it seems like it's in the base game. I had to start a dozen scenarios over, but finally have a save with some broken trait aknowledgement. So after further testing, I did finally get this to reproduce in the base game, vanilla. This is with no other mods installed, and I'm on the latest Rimworld version, which is I believe, at the time of this writing, as well as 1.1.3 of Prepare Carefully. I tried starting in vanilla with pawns I rolled randomly till I got pretty or beautiful on and they appeared to be working properly, so I'm forced to the conclusion that something odd is going on when they're created in Prepare Carefully. Viewing the tooltips on the relationships in the social screen will even show that they recognize the trait because there will be an entry for a pawn that is beautiful it appears as such, "Physically stunning: 0" rather than what it should be, "Physically stunning: 40". Instead of +40 for beautiful it will be 0. Quick tip: Shift+Click to increase the amount of resources by 10 at a time. You can also customize the starting resources and equipment. The new window will allow you to customize your colonists appearance, clothes, backstory, traits and skills. Not all of them will get the proper relations boost, as it pertains to beautiful/pretty. Once you enable the mod, start a game normally and you will see a new button named Prepare Carefully. Start the game, and check out their social tabs. In fact I'm not certain but it seems like the first two pawns are often problem ones. Be certain you make several, and not just two say, because on SOME colonists the trait is accounted for properly, but just not on all of them. Simplest thing to do would be to make 4 or 5 colonists, all with pretty and or beautiful.
